Actually picked it up on a rental the past couple of days. Actually, the first AS game I've played to any extent. (I have AS1 on the PC and AS2 on my PS3, but haven't really cracked them open yet.)

I had some issues with the controls. It took me forever to figure out how to fire a musket (and realized that the game was deciding for me when I had someone in my sights and could shoot.) Also, sometimes I'd be jumping into a haybale and it would kick me out again at inconveniently.

I did play up through the end of the first part, and a nice little twist at the end before the jump to Connor.

OMG that bit at the beginning was a mindfuck! (pardon the swears)

Also with being kicked out of hay piles, if its during chases, its because people who are chasing you are too close and can see you.

Finished Assassins Creed III, now going back to do the bits I didn't get done. It's not as punishing with the stealth missions as previous installments but it's got some stupidly hard requirements to get your 100% synchronization. Like staying within a certain distance from your target. Not only does the target get a good head start, there's obstacles placed in your way immediately to make it damn hard. But the frontier is fun to explore and the naval battles are challenging. I'd like more of the ship boarding though than ship combat lol.

Found the beginning of AC3 so ridiculously boring and tedious, I stopped playing. I should have definitely waited until Black Friday or when the price dropped below $35 for this one. I'll probably dive back into it later, I did buy the season pass after all. :/
