Journey is officially the fastest-selling PSN game ever

Love it or hate it, thatgamecompany's enthralling Journey is an undeniable success. That's a claim backed by facts, with news that the title has become the fastest selling PlayStation Network title of all time. Yes, it's doing better than even Blade Kitten!

thatgamecompany's Jenova Chen has also announced that the soundtrack will be available on PSN and iTunes from April 10, and a limited CD run will also be printed.

It always cheers the heart to see a game like Journey enjoy such success. Even if you disliked the game, you ought to be pleased to see something so unique performing so well, shaming those in the industry who think you have to be like everybody else in order to make some money. Luckily, I loved the game to boot, so I'm double pleased.

I downloaded this on whim the other day, and have finished it four times. Just amazing. It's not a game, it's an experience. I love the soundtrack, one of the best video game soundtracks in recent years in my opinion, so I'm tempted to look at that when its released!

I love this game so much.

I beat it quite a while ago and now I'm just exploring the levels. What I'm trying to do these days is climbing on things, and you can climb surprisingly high with the self-recharging white cloak, especially in the temple and the sunken city. I remember doing the same kind of thing with Shadow of the Colossus, running around climbing walls and seeing how high I could go. Maybe I was a squirrel in a past life or something.

I am a total n00b at this but can anyone direct me to where I can get this game? I got myself a ps3 a few days ago and just getting started with gaming... any help will be very appreciated! :)

It's a download only game (no physical disc sold). You need to make sure your PS3 is connected to the internet, then get a playstation network (PSN) account. You can sign up via the PS3's menu. Once you're logged in to the PSN, you can access the store. You can buy the game there for $15 (credit card or you can also purchase pre-paid cards in most electronics stores like Best Buy).

I've been wanting to try this since it first came out but it's exam time right now and I know I should try to hold off until I'm free. But it's so hard to wait!

I completed it once and haven't touched it in a week for the achievement, that way when I pick it up again, I can play it as much as want. Also using that week to beat FFXIII-2.

It being the first time I played, I had to sign out of PSN because I hated having playing with a partner forced on me. I wanted to experience the game for myself without feeling like I should go through the level with another person. But it was great. I get kind of skeptical about the short, artsy sort of games and I have no interest in this company's other major title (flower), but this one was worth it. Not only because it's beautiful and sounds amazing, but because you to have to figure out and interpret stuff for yourself. I really want a nice desktop wallpaper for it, particularly the blue and red worlds.

Brilliant experience/game. I had a free month of PS+ in February so I bought it one week early and got the special "gift" for getting all the symbols on my second playthrough. I like to think new players in that second week were envious of my awesome appearance and long ass scarf, lol. The entire game is awesome and beautiful but the sand sliding and final "levels" are now two of my favorite gaming experiences ever.

Now I just need some Journey icons.
